  • The Kleptones: Are You A Visionary? (right-click/control-click to download): Here's another great high-concept mash-up--someone took all the tracks from the Flaming Lips Yoshimi album and replaced the vocals with old-school hip hop raps! This track places Public Enemy's "By The Time I Get To Arizona" (along with some samples from Dr. King's "I Have A Dream" speech) over the backing track to "Are You A Hypnotist?" Fun ensues, yo.
As always: if you download it, let me know how you like it, Chester, yo.

Update: I've had to remove this file after the link appeared on boingboing.net and whump, there went half a month's worth of bandwidth in just two hours. Probably no more MP3 action for awhile. Sorry!

I don't think I would listen to it all that often, but it does flow well. I'm kind of curious to see how the rest of the album is, and will have to check it out. Thanks.

I think Jay-Z is kind of boring, so I wasn't very into the Grey Album (even 99 Problems, sorry). But I do like Public Enemy, so I love this!

I just now caught onto it and removed the file. About 700 people downloaded after it appeared in Boingboing, which gobbled up about two weeks worth of bandwidth. Great.

This is like the second time in a week that I've found about about something through BoingBoing and by the time I get (to Arizona) there it's already been bollixed. Do you plan to mirror it anywhere?

Just wanted to say thanks for the comments - much appreciated :)

You should have no problem finding the rest of the album - there is already a torrent up, too - Stick "kleptones yoshimi" into your search engine of choice and that should do it. Hope you like what you find. Play it loud and spread the love :))

It's good that there's some kind folks helping out - we had to take the tracks off our site (www.kleptones.com) as it was costing us £30+ a day in bandwith - so we know what that feels like...
