It suddenly occurs to me: people don't want to be educated. They just want to be right. If they voted for this schmuck, nothing you can say will convince them they were wrong.
And the rest of us will pay for it.

Do you think there's a way to really get through? Logic ain't working. Facts ain't working. Nobody seems to care about the lies and corruption. How do you talk to people who see the world in such a radically different way?

This is the exact existential crisis I was going thru in November, after the election--I used facts and figures in my cartoons all year to build an airtight case that Bush was bad for America, and in the end, the people I was trying hardest to reach didn't want to listen.

I'm still working this out, but one approach is to use their own language against them, to make them defend the indefensible.

My impression is, if they can't use logic to defend themselves, they either: a) don't read/listen to what you have to say, b) simply tell you that God is on their side, or c) attack your character.
And here you are, back at square 1.
